After leaving Sheffield University with a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering with French (one year of the course was spent and the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon) I began work for International Safety Components in North Wales designing equipment used to protect people working in hazardous situations. I moved on to work for Euro DPC designing medical equipment before heading to Raleigh to design bikes.

During my time as a Design Engineer I used computers extensively and became very adept at managing them. In November 2000 I moved to Chamonix and took up the role of IT Manager at Beaumont Holidays Ltd where I set up and maintained a network using a Windows 2000 Active Directory server and a Microsoft Exchange 2000 server. While at Beaumont I managed the build of the easyjet4ski website.

I now work freelance and am available for network administration, pc health and web development tasks either here in the Chamonix valley or remotely. Some websites I have developed recently are Chamlodge, Snowhouse and Chalet Silverglow. I have set up wi-fi solutions for a number of people including Chamonix Chalet, Chamlodge and Jon Morgan. I manage the pc systems and networks for Chamonix Experience, Dynamic Lives and Himalayan Experience as well as providing support for Mont Blanc Pursuits, Teton Gravity Europe and John Norris among others.

I understand how to make a web site rank well with search engines as can be seen if you do a search for "skiing photos" on Google, where my site should come up as number one.

I have worked with a number of web hosts over the past few years and at present I am finding that webhost4life are providing a very good service for both myself and a number of my clients.
