The route from the Brevent to Sixt. 27km distance with 1300m of climbing and a whopping 3020m of descent.
Climbing down the ladders right at the start. There are a couple of Chamois grazing just above the boys.
Riding down from the Col du Brevent. From the ladders to here we had to carry/push the bikes but from here on it was about 95% rideable.
There were quite a lot of these snow patches. There was a noticable improvement in riding them by the end of the day.
The trail goes down the the valley below before climbing the other side to the col just to the right of the grey cliffs.
The little streams crossing the track often provided quite challenging sections.
Crags and boulders everywhere.
Climbing up to the Refuge du Col d'Anterne. The snow patch just above John's right hand is the one from the third photo.
Riding past the Lac d'Anterne.
Our own Chamonix slick rock trail
Heading down to the Chalets d'Anterne. After this there is another 200m of climbing then it is all downhill.
The start of the final descent. 1300m of fast singletrack followed by fast 4X4 track.
On descents this good you hardly get a chance to stop for pics.
