After being scared off this by avalanche danger I went for a skin up the
other side of the valley to get some shots for my upcoming Cham guidebook.
On this shot you can see some of the avalanche debris that cause us to turn
around. |

I met two local guides at the rimaye. They had skied up the left bank
of the glacier while i had skied up the right. Here is one of them on
the ski back down |

This is the other guide. After they decided to turn around I thought that I
should too. |

On the skiers left here you can see the debris of the avalanche, and
higher up you can see some of the big rocks that were dislodged at the
rimaye. |

This avalanche came thundering down the neighbouring slope a short while later.
Decision confirmed. |
